Dolce Vita
I always thought I was invincible, and in 2013, I got diagnosed with Blood cancer. I enjoy life to a different level. I try to be as positive as possible. Going through cancer puts your life in perspective.
I also learned through this experience, that you can go through anything if you put your mind to it.
My friend introduced me to Light The Night. She wanted to get involved and started our team. After my first year, I was hooked to the Light the Night walk and came back every year.
The Light the Night Walk means you are supporting survivors and those who are going through cancer now. You are also remembering those who passed away. Light the Night means celebrating life with all the victories and defeats that come with it.
You see the effort put in from the organisation to raise money to find a cure for blood cancers. The money raised through this event goes to where it's needed and that is research and we have seen how research has made big differences in survival rates.
