In 2019, Mariève was personally touched by a blood cancer. Her sons close friend, Jacob, 11 years old, lost his battle to Acute Myeloid in just 8 days after his diagnosis. This terrible tragedy inspired Mariève to join the 24h of Tremblant and become a member of team Jacob Strong, with a goal breaking the fundraising records in the history of this event. Now, Mariève is committed in raising funds so that a story like Jacob’s never happens again and that ultimately, leukemia is defeated forever.

Mariève is Senior Vice-President, Transformation and Business Efficiency at Groupe CSL/Canada steamship lines, a global shipping company headquartered in Montreal. She joined CSL in 2012 as Director of Marketing and Strategic Planning before becoming Vice-President of Commercial Sales for the division of Canada, Asia and Australia. In recent years, she has been recognized for her leadership and dynamism while she has built effective teams and contributed to the sustainable growth of the company.

Originally from the South Shore of Montreal, Mariève holds a law degrees from the University of Montreal, is a member of the Quebec Bar and also holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA). Before joining CSL, she worked at Rio Tinto, Alcan, Bombardier and also practices law a labor lawyer.
