We participated in Light The Night last year in honour of our friend Sebastian, Sebastian and his wife Emily are active volunteers for the LLSC and Sebastian is also a blood cancer survivor. Additionally, Sebastian's wife Emily is a friend and an instructor at Lagree YYC.
We really enjoyed Light The Night; we brought the whole family and some of our friends too. Team members from Lagree and members of the studio also joined us. It was great to see everyone there, doing the right thing for the right reason.
We wanted to support a meaningful cause; you give back, that’s what you do as a member of the community. What goes around comes around, it is just good karma. What we found different about Light The Night was that rather than simply writing a cheque in support of a cause, most people there had a arms length connection to the cause which was made more personal by the coloured lanterns. The event brought a degree of humanity to something inhuman.
