Diane also lost her mother to cancer when she was 25 and her brother to cancer while she was sick. It was just an incredibly difficult road for her. He daughter was going to be turning 25 when she passed away, and she worried a lot about how that would affect her.

Diane having cancer really showed us the importance of having a strong group of friends and family. She never once complained and she was so strong the whole time. It brings to mind that under the worst of conditions we can be incredibly strong.

Diane was actually the one who wanted to do it, and that is why we started walking was for her. She was the one that really inspired us. It was something to do that was very tangible. It gave us a time to come together and be together. To experience the event was amazing. It was so great to see all these people who are dealing with something similar. It meant a lot to her for us to continue doing the walk.

We started this because of her and it was important for us to take part in Light The Night to support her. It's important to continue to support those who needed the support that Diane did.

Everyone should participate in Light the Night because of the support for new and innovative research! It's important to continue to try to find cures for people like Diane.
